Lago Sandoval

Lago Sandoval / Puerto Maldonado / Peru

Come here to see the giant otter, cormorans, caymans manta rays and many other wildlife. This lake used to be part of the madre dios river, however separated from the main river over time. Finally do not forget to swim in there, greatly refreshing, I can recommend! *laughing*. In order to get there one needs a boat from Puerto Maldonado and then walk by foot for an hour. Luckily no motors are allowed on the lake. Be prepared to paddle!
